EAST ALTON, IL– July 2022 — One of the most prestigious shooting sports events in the world, The Grand American World Championship, is set to kick off in Sparta, Illinois, the first week of August.
As the Official Ammunition of the Amateur Trapshooting Association (ATA), Winchester will have a major presence among the thousands of registered competitors. Winchester Ammunition continues to demonstrate a huge commitment to preserving and promoting one of America’s most popular shooting sports, trap shooting.

More than four million clay targets will be thrown over the 11-day event. Daily events like the Winchester AA® Class Singles draw some of the most talented competitors from across the country.
Team Winchester members and World Champions Matt and Foster Bartholow and Harlan Campbell, as well as All-American’s Keith Ditto and Dagen Voigtman will be battling thousands of talented shooters in their quest for more championship rings.
Winchester has teamed up with the Grand American shell house and will offer its world-famous Super-Target® and AA® target loads for sale. Participants and guests are also invited to visit the Winchester Ammunition booth on vendor row, which will be loaded with new branded merchandise and exciting daily promotions. Team Winchester members and staff will also be on-site throughout the event. Check the Winchester building for appearance days and times.
About the ATA (Amateur Trapshooting Association)
