The Oklahoma Games is comprised of staple CMP vintage and modern rifle competitions like the .22 Rimfire Sporter, M1 Carbine, Vintage Sniper and Garand/Springfield/Vintage and Modern Military (GSMM) matches alongside 1911 Pistol, Military & Police Service Pistol, Pistol Two-Man Team, Pistol EIC and .22 Rimfire Pistol EIC matches. Aggregate competitions using .22, .45 or Centerfire pistols are also included on the event schedule to allow even more options for competitors to enjoy.
Outside of competition, educational opportunities like CMP’s Rifle Marksmanship 101 and Pistol Marksmanship 101 courses provide hands-on learning in the classroom and on the firing line. Students enrolled in the courses learn gun safety, target shooting skills, positioning, basic rifle mechanics and more! All firearms and equipment will be provided for the classes and are conducted by trained industry professionals.
Additionally, an M1 Maintenance Clinic will give participants specific instruction on how to properly preserve the historic M1 Garand rifle.
Those searching for highpower (HP) rifle matches, featuring service rifles, will be able to take part in CMP’s HP series of 80 Shot Aggregates, a 4-Man Team match and a Service Rifle EIC competition – all held on CMP’s own line of outdoor electronic targets.
