East Alton, Illinois– September 2022 — Shoot United launched a series of events last August in partnership with local shooting ranges to help those who are starting their journey in the shooting sports and responsible firearm ownership. Participants had access to knowledgeable trainers, received educational resources, and experienced firearms firsthand on the shooting range.

“The first Shoot United events included participants with very diverse backgrounds who were curious and excited to learn more about topics in the shooting sports,” said Jason Gilbertson, director of marketing for Shoot United. “The environment was not intimidating. It was inviting, and people of all experience levels learned and experienced firearms in very positive ways. We will continue to collaborate directly with shooting ranges across the country that are willing to help with Shoot United events as we move in to 2023.”
Kicking off in August to coincide with National Shooting Sports Month, Shoot United hosted more than 130 people at ranges in select metropolitan areas throughout the country. Focusing on introducing handgun training at The Modern Sportsman event allowed for a small group instructional session with one-on-one range time. At the Hyatt Farms Shooting Complex event, all three disciplines of firearms (shotgun, handgun, and rifle) were featured, giving new shooters the opportunity to explore different firearms in a safe, supportive environment.
Each event provided new participants an opportunity to ask questions of certified firearm instructors and professional competitive shooters, and have fun with friends and family, while also getting safe, supportive hands-on experience during their time on the range.
