In January, Racaza brought home a first-place finish for the Open Class division at the 2023 Pan American Extreme Open held at Volusia County Shooting Club in New Smyrna Beach, FL. A couple of weeks later, Racaza achieved another first-place win in the Production Optics division at the 2023 Carribean Open match in Puerto Rico.

Racaza was crowned a World Champion last year during the 2022 IPSC Handgun World Shoot XIX in Pattaya, Thailand, for the Production Optics division.

“The World Championship win has given me a huge momentum to kick off this new year, as well as some additional pressure to keep the streak going. I am fortunate to shoot products from the Beretta platform that I know I can rely on during these high-stress competitions,” Simon “JJ” Racaza, Team Beretta athlete, said.

Racaza competes with a stock version, with no customizations, of the new Beretta 92X Performance Carry Optic – the most recent evolution of the 92X Performance family. The 92X Performance family was designed in collaboration with the world’s highest-level competitive shooters to have out-of-the-box optimized performance and consistency. The new 92X Performance Carry Optic model retains the same ergonomics and features of the popular 92X Performance platform with a red dot optic-ready slide, included optic plates, and improved trigger performance.

Compliant with the USPSA (United States Pistol Shooting Association) Carry Optic division regulations, the 92X Performance Carry Optic provides an uncompromising performance aimed at earning you a spot at the top of the podium with power, speed, and accuracy.

Racaza continues his shooting season at the upcoming Team Motley’s Dragons Cup 3.0 held at Laser Ninja Dragon League in Odessa, TX, from April 21-23, 2023.
