Hornady congratulates competitor Jaclyn Bryan on her recent 4,227-yard shot at the Spearpoint Ranch ELR Match on March 25-26, 2023, in Barnard, Kansas.
Robert Brantley holds the top spot for longest shot recorded with his 4,229-yard impact in May of 2021 using the .416 cal 500 gr. A-Tip. Bryan’s recent hit secures the second longest shot recorded and bumps Ryan Cheney to the third furthest shot for his April 2021 hit at 4,134 yards using the .338 cal 300 gr A-Tip.
“We had just impacted at the 2-mile target, so we knew our wind calls were good and we had ultimate confidence in the bullet,” said Bryan. “After a 10-second time of flight, we were ecstatic to see the scoring lights illuminated at 2.4 miles. Hitting targets at these ranges just wouldn’t be possible without the best shooting equipment and A-Tip bullets” she added.
A-Tip® Match bullets feature an aluminum tip that’s precision machined and longer than polymer tips, which moves the center of gravity and enhances inflight stability, resulting in tighter groups and reduced drag variability. In addition, A-Tip bullets are sequentially packaged for the ultimate in consistent performance.
