Helsinki, Finland– October 2024– The Finnish military and outdoor specialist Varusteleka, also known for the world’s toughest two-gun action match, Finnish Brutality, has started manufacturing military clothing and gear in MultiCam.

Previously, their high-quality military clothing and gear were only available in Finnish camouflage patterns and solid colors.
The idea behind this major expansion is to better serve international markets and boost global business-to-government sales. While the Finnish M05 camo has its ardent fans outside of Finland, it isn’t fit for large-scale international B-to-G trade. With Finland’s relatively recent NATO membership, it certainly doesn’t hurt to have MultiCam products in the arsenal, either.
“When Finland joined NATO, we felt that we also must equip our allies with the best gear on the market”, Jari Laine, the CEO of Varusteleka, says.
MultiCam is probably the most widely used camouflage pattern globally and one of the international military gear standards. Varusteleka’s tactical gear is designed and tested with the help of military professionals and made in Europe to Tier-1 standards. Quality- and property-wise, it is suitable for use all over the world, from the Arctic conditions to the Ukrainian steppes, faraway desert sands, and even the rainforests. Adding MultiCam to the selection will increase the desirability among military professionals outside of Finland, too.
At the moment, the MC pattern of choice is the most versatile MultiCam Original. However, the other MultiCam colors are not necessarily excluded from plans. At this initial stage, Varusteleka identified the products that had the greatest potential in MultiCam and started with those. The range will expand by the end of 2024 and in 2025.
