Phoenix, Arizona– November 2024– Robert Feldmeyer, 46, of Queen Creek, AZ, made his mark at the 2024 Western CMP Games, CMP Pistol & CMP Cup Matches by logging three new pistol event records through his outstanding performances.

The 2024 Western Games was held Oct. 7-13 at the Ben Avery Shooting Facility in Phoenix and was conducted by the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP). The annual event showcases a mix of rifle and pistol competitions and learning opportunities for individuals of all experience levels.
Feldmeyer’s records came in the Metallic categories of the .22 Rimfire Aggregate, Centerfire Aggregate and the overall Pistol 2700 Aggregate that combined competitor scores from the .22, .45 and Centerfire matches. He additionally recorded overall wins in the Revolver EIC Pistol Match and the 1911 Pistol event, where he is already the current record holder.
Also setting records of their own in the pistol matches were Jordan Kramp, 44, of Fairfield, CA, who broke his own record in the .22 Rimfire Any Sights Match, as well as George Siordian, 61, of Phoenix, who set a new record in the .45 Metallic Sights Aggregate.
Kramp went on to lead the EIC Pistol Match, where he holds the current record set in 2022.
In Rifle Games events, filled with more recreational-oriented matches, James Huetteman, 42, of Fort Worth, TX, fired a score of 376-6X for a new record in the Carbine Match.
Other noteworthy performances on the firing line were posted by Julia Watson-Carlson, 48, of Lehi, UT, who claimed wins in the Garand and Modern Military rifle events, as well as Samuel Hartsock, 66, of West Olive, MI, who earned the Three- and Four-Gun Aggregate honors for his consistent exceptional scores.
The Cup Matches, featuring highpower rifle events, saw Jeffrey Mikesell, 49, of Gilbert, AZ, leading the Mid-Range 3×600 Match with a score of 598-29X in the Match Rifle category, as Joel Sylvia, 54, of Prescott Valley, AZ, topped the Service Rifle category with 597-20X.
Craig VanHyning, 58, of Florence, AZ, led the Mid-Range F T/R class with 518-4X, while Watson-Carlson returned to earn a winning score of 581-16X in AR Tactical.
Leading the Service Rifle 2400 Aggregate Match was James Fox, 39, of Albany, OR, with a score of 2366-77X. Fox also led the EIC Rifle Match where he earned a score of 493-24X – breaking the previous record score he had set in 2022.
Fox also joined up with partner Joel Sylvia to win the Two-Person Rifle Match, with a score of 566-19X.
In the 2400 Aggregate Match Rifle category, David Friedman, 40, of Glendale, AZ, set a new record score of 2330-58X – shattering the previous record of 2251-45X set in 2022.
