Part Novelty Beverage Dispenser, Part 3-D Printed Bazooka, Meet the Canzerfaust

Deterrence Dispensed/CtrlPew, the controversial 3D-printed weapons concern (see JStark), has a new project– dubbed the “CANzerfaust” as its official purpose is for launching drink cans.

It is a 66mm recoilless tube system with a shoulder rest attachment that can be converted to a quasi-squad mortar on the fly.

It has lots of similarities to the Provos’ old Mark 16 Projected Recoilless Improvised Grenade (PRIG) of the early 1990s, but with modern additive manufacturing.

DD says the Canzerfaust is “100% DIY, zero regulated parts, buildable anywhere by anyone,” and they aren’t wrong as you don’t cross into NFA-regulated Destructive Device territory as long as your projectiles are inert (i.e. non-explosive), much in the same way that potato guns firing spud chunks and black powder cannons hurling solid balls are legal.

Others have had similar ideas and are posting videos of their own as well.

Either way, we love it!
