Winchester, Now the Official Ammunition of the SCTP National Championship

East Alton, Illinois– July 2023 — The largest youth shooting sports event in the United States, the Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP) National Championship, kicks off this week at the Cardinal Shooting Center in Marengo, Ohio.

With more than 3,500 youth shooting sports athletes and 300 teams from over 30 states, the SCTP National Championship draws intense competition amongst the nation’s best youth shooters. It also features a fantastic festival-like environment with activities and vendors for the entire family.

“The SCTP National Championship represents all the positives that youth shooting sports can offer; competition, family, friends, the outdoors …  it’s an event unlike any other in the country,” said Jason Gilbertson, Director of marketing for Winchester Ammunition. “Competitive shooting continues to be one of the fastest growing sports at the high school level, and Winchester is honored to be the official ammunition of the SCTP and this event.”

Winchester® Ammunition, the official ammunition of SCTP and the SCTP National Team, will be on-site throughout the event with a long list of promotions, pro-staff appearances, Winchester branded merchandise- and of course- lots of Winchester AA® and Super-Target® shotshells to keep these youth competitors on the firing line having fun.

Winchester Ammunition is offering the following promotions and activities during the SCTP National Event, July 7-15, 2023:

  • The Winchester vendor building will be open daily and features a large selection of branded clothing and gear items including hats, shirts, drinkware, signs, coolers, gun-cleaning kits, koozies, and much more
  • Where’s Winchester Scavenger Hunt: Find the hidden giant shotshells around the facility to win great prizes all week
  • Free frozen treats in the Winchester booth all week.
  • Winchester and Shoot United featured film festival, playing daily in the Winchester vendor building
  • Winchester Ammunition shotshells will continue to be sold through the local dealers on-site; the Winchester store will sell merchandise and promotional items only
