Cabot, Pennsylvania– February 2024– As we navigate through the early days of 2024, our excitement is palpable, and we’re eager to share the fruits of our labor over the past year. We’ve crafted two distinct, one-of-a-kind pistols that embody the pinnacle of our craftsmanship and dedication to the art of the 1911-style pistol.

First on the list is the “SETI,” a tribute to the endless quest for knowledge beyond our world, inspired by the Search For Extra Terrestrial Life Institute.
This pistol is a masterpiece, forged from the exceptional Damascus steel of Jason Morrissey and Robert Eggerling. Each blacksmith brings a unique flair, culminating in the pistol’s gripping “X” design, reminiscent of the enigmatic allure of the X Files.
The theme of cosmic wonder is further embraced with the inclusion of a 4.5 billion-year-old meteorite piece, serving as the rear sight, adding a celestial touch to this earthly creation.
Complementing the SETI pistol is our first in-house knife, handcrafted with precision and care, mirroring the pistol’s design ethos.
Damasters
The journey doesn’t end there; we introduce the “Damasters,” a confluence of artistry from four master Damascus blacksmiths.
This pistol is more than just a firearm; it’s a testament to the beauty and complexity of Damascus steel, a material we hold in high regard for its intricate patterns and storied history.
The Damasters is a celebration of our favorite medium, bringing together steel from Robert “Deker” Dekelbaum, Jason Morrissey, Damasteel, and Robert Eggerling in a stunning display of craftsmanship.
This piece is a collaborative symphony from the forges of four master blacksmiths, showcasing the depth and complexity of our favorite medium in a single, magnificent pistol.
Amidst these unveilings, we’re also thrilled to present a sneak peek at our upcoming documentary featuring the esteemed Otto Carter, an artist whose engravings have adorned numerous Cabot pistols. This documentary is a new gem in our “Portrait of a Craftsman” series, offering an intimate glimpse into the dedication behind the art that graces our firearms. The full documentary will be published on YouTube on February 23rd. If you own a Cabot with engraving by Otto Carter you will not want to miss this.
