Model 307 Alpine CT MSRP $2,199
About the Model 307 Action
The Model 307 is a 2-lug design equipped with an M-16 style extractor for smooth and reliable cycling. The bolt has a unique tool-less disassembly feature that makes it easy to break down for cleaning and field maintenance. The action’s cylindrical design accommodates Stiller/Savage® scope mounts and is threaded for 8-40 screws, the Alpine CT model comes equipped with Peak 44’s Picatinny rail (JRAIL) making it optics-ready out of the box.
Peak 44 Bastion Stock
The Peak 44 Bastion was built out of necessity and engineered to be the lightest and strongest vertical grip carbon fiber stock on the market. Weighing in at just 24 oz, the Bastion utilizes aerospace materials that have incredible strength-to-weight ratios. Each stock uses a patented carbon fiber bedding block, this slip of carbon engages the front recoil lug and transfers the force of the recoil directly to the exterior shell, for the shooter this means less felt recoil. To further help manage the effects of recoil the Bastion’s 3D Hex recoil pad was designed to stretch the time component of recoil. As recoil is absorbed into the pad’s honeycomb structure, the hexagonal voids begin to collapse and disperse the recoil’s energy when compared to traditional pads. This proprietary process turns that sharp kick into a gentle shove. The forend features dual sling studs to allow the shooter multiple options when deciding on accessories. This upgraded stock allows shooters to comfortably and accurately shoot from all positions at the range and in the field.
BSF Barrels
BSF uses carbon fiber in a way that no other carbon barrel manufacturer does, leading to unmatched accuracy and heat dispersion properties. After BSF turns down a 416R stainless steel match barrel they sleeve it with carbon fiber and load it under tension. Because it’s under tension, as the barrel heats up it keeps the rifling straighter, resulting in a stiffer, more rigid barrel. Most competitors use a wrapping method that has been proven to trap heat and cause delamination. With BSF’s proprietary method, 95% of the carbon fiber does not touch the contoured barrel, creating air gaps and allowing air to foil around the steel and cool the barrel faster. The high-quality carbon fiber is designed to move at the same expansion rate as the 416R stainless steel resulting in a vibration dampening effect. What does that mean? It means the carbon fiber absorbs the shock and vibration allowing more consistent groups. All Weatherby rifles are guaranteed to shoot a 3-shot SUB-MOA group at 100 yards with factory-loaded ammunition. All barrels are threaded ?-24.
Shorter Barrel Lengths
The Alpine CT line features shorter barrels on Weatherby Magnum Calibers. Most barrels will be 2” shorter than traditional offerings (excluding 6.5-300).
TriggerTech Trigger
TriggerTech’s trigger provides a true zero-creep break and is externally adjustable down to 2.5 lbs. Precision-cut stainless steel components ensure consistent trigger pulls from shot to shot in a safe, reliable, and corrosion-resistant package.
NEW! Accubrake DST™
The Accubrake DST is a side-ported directional self-timing brake. Side-ported brakes direct gasses to the left and right reducing muzzle rise and drastically reducing felt recoil. A timing nut allows users to easily self-time the brake without the aid of a gunsmith. All models are conveniently threaded with ?-24 threads.
Cerakote® Finish
All metal work is finished with a weather-resistant and durable Cerakote coating.
14 Chamberings Available
Available in standard short and long actions, the Alpine CT offers some of Weatherby’s historic magnum cartridges but is also available in some of the most popular cartridges on the market.
Short Action: 6.5 CM, 243, 308 Win, 6.5 PRC
Long Action: 240 WBY, 257 WBY, 6.5 WBY RPM, 6.5-300 WBY, 280 AI, 28 Nosler, 7mm PRC, 300 Win, 300 PRC, 300 WBY

“Before we officially launched the Model 307, we had the concept of the Model 307 Apline CT in mind. The goal was the ultimate “carbon” rifle at a value that customers would appreciate, made in the USA. Fast forward a couple years and you have a rifle weighing in a little over 6lbs with a list of features priced close to two thousand bucks. The combination of the inherently accurate BSF carbon fiber barrel with the 24 ounce Peak 44 Bastion stock achieves what we were hoping to accomplish in regard to performance, weight and durability. Throw in a custom paint job and a list of other features such as an included Peak 44 Jrail and Triggertech trigger and you have what I believe is the absolute best rifle out there in its class!”
