Volquartsen’s most compact Scorpion package features an overall length of approximately 8″ and only 1 lb. 12 oz. The 3″ Scorpion-X LLV has been combined with the Volquartsen lightweight VF Target Frame in the 1911 grip angle to create a lightweight and extremely accurate 22 LR.
The new Mini Scorpion-X pistol configurations utilize the Mini Scorpion-X LLV upper which has multiple hole mounting locations allowing for various popular red dots to be mounted directly to the top of the upper.
“Keeping the red dot mounted as low as possible on the bore axis makes for faster sight acquisition. The easiest and cleanest way to do this is to mount the red dot directly to the top of the upper,” commented Volquartsen President Scott Volquartsen.
The 3″ Scorpion-X LLV upper features a stainless-steel barrel (with stainless steel, laser-hardened breech) housed in an aluminum shroud. This design provides match-grade accuracy in a lightweight package. The barrel is threaded 1/2 x 28, making it the perfect suppressor host.
The Volquartsen Competition Bolt with DLC Coating ensures smooth operation and function. This bolt is a must when shooting suppressed.
The 3″ Scorpion-X LLV upper is also available as a stand-alone product for the Ruger® MKII, MKIII, and prior Scorpion 22 LR models. It is compatible with the Volquartsen Competition Bolt and the Ruger® MKII/MKIII factory bolt.
