The newest member of the Steiner TOR-series of pistol lasers and lights, the TOR-X is a dedicated laser sighting system that also serves as an invaluable life- or dry-fire training tool thanks to its seamless integration with the renowned Mantis technology used by world-class competitors and America’s elite military members.
The TOR-X is a microlaser system designed to fit any pistol with a Picatinny or Weaver rail forward of the trigger guard. The unit features a powerful <5 mW green laser secured in duty-grade anodized aluminum housing that is water-resistant and built to withstand hard use on the range or in the field. The laser is windage and elevation adjustable to ensure precise point-of-aim/point-of-impact performance on any compatible pistol platform and with any suitable load configuration. Ambidextrous in operation to accommodate left- or right-hand shooters, the TOR-X offers adjustable laser power levels and includes an Auto-On so it is always ready for action.
The second face of the TOR-X laser sight is the Mantis™ training functionality. Driven by the Mantis™ app via Bluetooth connectivity to your mobile device, the Mantis™ system is the ultimate training tool that presents a host of visual and datapoint feedback covering the entire shooting cycle — from the timer and holster draw to post-shot recoil. It can be used in either live- or dry-fire scenarios to validate and analyze critical performance variables, suggest technique modifications, and hone marksmanship skills.
The key advantage to the TOR-X system is that by integrating the laser sight with Mantis™ functionality, the user always has both tools at the ready. This EDC-compatible system means you never have to swap your laser for the training device and then back again. By simplifying the training process, the TOR-X promotes essential practice that can be performed anywhere, anytime.
MSRP for the TOR-X is $359 and the unit comes with Steiner’s Heritage Warranty.
